Fall is finally here, and that means winter is right around the corner. Pumpkins are ripe and ready to be carved, and everyone is bringing their costume A game. This time of year can be very crazy and hectic, but do not forget about your storage unit. 

Your storage unit is the perfect place to store anything you do not need or want for these cold months. This is also the perfect time to declutter any and all of the rooms in your use, you can get rid of things you do not have a need for and put the stuff you want to keep but not in your house at your Beaumont Storage unit. 

Make sure you are aware of how cold it could get and the precautions you need to take to protect your possessions from the temperature. Take note of your temperature sensitive object and pack them accordingly. 

Keep an inventory of everything you put in your unit. This way if you need to take something out you can know exactly where it is and how to get to it. This can also help insure that nothing is lost in the transfer or misplaced in your unit. 

Go through your storage unit before placing anything new to check and make sure your previous inventory is accurate and up to date. Declutter your unit to make room for anything new, and to make sure you are not keeping things you no longer want. 

Once you have gone through these steps put in your new items in an orderly manner and update your inventory. Put things together in a way that makes sense, have a predetermined system of classifying and placement. This way things will not get misplaced and everything will stay more organized.
