How to Store Your Furniture Properly

Everyone has furniture and sometimes it gets in the way and it needs to be stored for a future time. Most people don’t have very much space in their house to do just that so you can go and rent a storage unit. There are many things that you can do to make sure that your furniture is safe and stays nice. Furniture needs to be taken care of before it goes into storage. Here I will give you some tips on how to properly store your furniture.

The first thing you should do is clean your furniture. You don’t want it going into storage dirty. Make sure that your furniture is spotless. The next thing you should do is take everything apart. This makes it easier to store and way easier to hall it to your storage unit. Anything and everything that can be taken apart should be. A great way to keep your furniture from getting ruined is to wrap it in long term storage. This will protect your furniture and make sure that it is safe.

When you go and take your furniture to your storage unit make sure that you protect all glass. Glass is so fragile and you don’t want to drop it. That can make a very huge mess and it will ruin your furniture. After you protect all glass, raise the furniture off the floor. Put something under it to protect your furniture. Finally don’t cram your things into your unit. A great way to break something is to over pack your unit. Just make sure that it is not too chaotic in your unit.
